The Frison mansion, ‘the forgotten Horta-building’

Victor Horta built the Hotel Frison (center of Brussels) for his best friend, the lawyer Frison in 1894, as one of the first “modern” houses.

The house is now renovated to its original splendor.

It is now available for dinners, conferences, seminars and receptions.

Appropriately enough, for its magnificent lines and features include a glass gallery that allows light to flood right into the heart of the edifice. The hand of the master can be identified in several of its wonderful details, and although it is a building dating back to the very beginning of Horta's career, one can instantly recognize the sober elegance so typical of the architect's work, and the qualities of harmony and continuity, rationality and novelty that granted the building its artistic worth.

This is an excellent opportunity to let your guests see inside one of the finest houses of the nineteenth century to grace the centre of Brussels.
They can come in for a seminar, a dinner or “walking dinner” or even a workshop or conference.

This is ideal for groups and there is room for as many as 90 to 100 persons.

Two ‘modules’ are possible :
The ground floor : up to 70 guests, 3 spaces.
The first floor: up to 50 guests, 2 spaces.

Moreover, the event can be livened up by using professional guides (English, French, Dutch, German or Italian speaking) or animated further with a comedian, musicians or other types of entertainment on a theme (Casino, Roaring Twenties, Belle Epoque, etc).

Het hotel Frison, het ‘vergeten’ gebouw van Victor Horta

Victor Horta bouwde het ’Hôtel Frison voor zijn beste vriend, de advocaat Frison, in 1894 als een van de eerste « moderne » huizen.
